Steve Hargan, one of the Indians' excellent starting pitchers of the late-1960s, passed away on October 30, 2025 at age 83.
Hargan played for the Indians from 1965 to 1972. In 1967 he posted 14 wins, made the All-Star team, and led the AL with 6 shutouts.
After spending all of 1973 with the Tribe's AAA team, he pitched for the Rangers from 1974-77, and also appeared briefly for the Blue Jays and Braves in 1977.
Wow, Hargan pitched 221 games for the Indians, yet I couldn't find ONE link to a Cleveland newspaper about his passing! (disgraceful)
