Some ramblings about major (and minor) league baseball in the mid-to-late 1960s, with an emphasis on my hometown Philadelphia Phillies. -- 26-SEP-2009
Julian Javier with 14 HR's, 64 RBI's and a .281 BA couldn't make your top 9?
It was a toss-up between Javier and Shannon. Shannon seemed to have the edge.
Funny. Dick Hughes had more wins and a better ERA than Gibson that year. This lineup of cards just reminds how good the 67 Topps look.
Gibson missed a month of 1967 with a broken leg.
